Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds’ 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, prepare for a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12400 feet) and New Baba Mandir, both of which are only 32 kilometres from Gangtok. Tsomgo Lake is regarded as sacred by the locals. It is about 1 km long, oval in shape, and 15 metres deep. You can spend peaceful moments here. New Baba Mandir is a distinguished sightseeing place of Gangtok. It is located on the Indo-China border, and honours "Baba" Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian Army soldier. You can also go to Nathula Pass (closed Monday & Tuesday), which is located on the India-China border. However, you have to inform us in advance, as a permit needs to be obtained. Return to your hotel in Gangtok. Spend the night in your comfortable room because you'll be visiting more amazing sights the next day.
